Description

A rigid fishing boat for lakes and rivers

The Argo-Scout 310 is a 3.05 m fishing boat with a one-piece hull rotomolded from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). It is rated for 3 persons and a maximum load of 300 kg. There is nothing to inflate or assemble: put the boat in the water and you are ready to go.

Stable tri-hull and shallow draft

The tri-hull with three keels and a 156 cm beam makes the boat very stable. You can stand to cast and land fish, and move around on board with confidence. With a draft of about 15 cm, you can fish in shallow water: small bays, weedy shores and shallow rivers. Keep in mind that the outboard leg needs more depth than the hull.

Built for fishing

The bow seat can also be used as a casting platform. The bow seat and both stern seats have lockers that close and are protected from water, a convenient place for tackle, clothing and personal items. The two aluminum grab rails along the sides and the bow have accessory tracks for a fish finder, extra rod holders and other equipment. There are four rod holders in the gunwales. There is a place for a removable steering console, and the bow has enough room for an electric motor with GPS anchor mode.

Hull and transom

The polyethylene is UV-resistant. The hull needs no painting, does not rust and takes knocks against stones, slipways and piers. The aluminum transom plate is 381 mm high and takes short-shaft (S) outboards of up to 20 HP, with 9.9-15 HP recommended.

Transport and pickup

The boat weighs 130 kg and is transported on a trailer. You can pick it up at our store in Vilnius.

Frequently asked questions

Which motor should I choose?

Choose a short-shaft (S) outboard of up to 20 HP and up to 60 kg, with 9.9-15 HP recommended. In our tests with a 9.9 HP motor, the boat got on plane with one person on board when the weight was moved forward or a hydrofoil was fitted. With two people it stayed in displacement mode. If you usually go out in pairs, choose a 15 HP motor.

Can I use an electric motor?

Yes. With an electric outboard the boat moves in displacement mode. The bow has room for an electric motor with GPS anchor mode.

Do I need a trailer?

Yes. The boat weighs 130 kg and is 3.05 m long, so it does not fit in a car or on a standard roof rack.

How many people can it carry?

The boat is rated for 3 persons and a maximum load of 300 kg, including the motor, fuel and gear. CE category C.

Can the boat stay outdoors?

Yes. The polyethylene is UV-resistant, and the hull needs no painting. Before winter, remove the drain plug, let the water out and store the boat upside down or under a cover so that snow and ice do not collect inside.

What about scratches?

Light scratches and scuffs are normal for HDPE and are usually cosmetic. Deep gouges should be inspected: contact us before attempting any heat repair or plastic welding.

Can I use it in salt water?

Yes. After use in salt water, rinse the boat, the transom plate and the fittings with fresh water.

How do I get the boat?

The Argo-Scout 310 can be picked up at our store in Vilnius (Talino g. 10A). Contact us to arrange a time.
