As an energy source, we use semi-rigid monocrystal photovoltaic panels SG-TF-S-50W with Sunpower elements, the efficiency and durability of which are significantly superior to conventional elements. These panels are made of modern composite materials, they are waterproof, have high resistance to impacts and ultraviolet radiation. Thanks to the built-in Sunpower photocells, light radiation is effectively converted into electrical energy. The panels are connected to the battery via a charge controller.
The solar generator recharges the batteries continuously, with varying efficiency depending on weather conditions, boat position, etc. The charger works best when the panels are fully facing the sun, and loses some of its efficiency if they are angled or if even a small part of them is covered. Therefore, keep the device clean, dry and facing the sun as much as possible. In summer, during daylight hours, the solar
charging system significantly increases the battery capacity, and therefore the autonomy of navigation.
Boat solar generator 50W (12/24V) includes a set of parts for connecting to a GEL/AGM/Li-Ion battery 12V/24V voltage:
- One solar panel in a rigid module with SAE connector for connecting to a charge controller;
- Charge controller 12/24V;
- Connecting cable 3,0 m for connecting MPPT controller (SAE connector) – Battery (G16-4pin);
- Straps for attaching solar module to boat bench seat.
You can increase the power of your solar generator by connecting one or two modules additionally. To do
this, you will need a connecting cable, which is purchased separately. The panels of our solar generator operate independently of each other. If one is shaded or damaged, the other panels continue to give off 100% of its energy.
